Black women’s communal spirit and resilience is the foundation for sharing and identifying the needs of our community; thus, we step to the polls in unison. In numbers and in spirit, the energy of the Black woman is a force of power. We represent mothers, grandmothers, sisters, wives, girlfriends, caregivers, and mentors with our feet (maybe in heels) planted in every industry, not looking back, but searching for ways to continually advocate. As Black women, we realize the necessity of the power of our one vote in a world where we are continually fighting for our seat at the table, in one way or another. When we come together, our voting power forms a force only our ancestors really know.
