I am a mother of four and a homeschool educator. Each of my children represents the more than 220,000 black children in this country that are also homeschooled. Every day I invest in my children’s future, and I don’t want it cut short. As a mother of black children I need a president that understands the issues critical to my heart. Atop the list is criminal justice reform. Homeschooling is not a shield as my children can also face gun violence and police brutality. As one of the millions of Black women who elected President Obama, we need millions more to realize the critical role we play in this election. We must make our voices heard on Election Day and activate our communities to rise up and go to the polls!
